Israeli army says targeted Hezbollah commanders in Beirut's suburbs

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the Israeli military carried out a strike targeting what he described as several senior Hezbollah figures in Beirut's southern suburbs on Tuesday.

In a brief statement, Adraee said the Israeli military had "recently attacked several leadership elements" belonging to Hezbollah in the vicinity of Beirut.

This comes after new Israeli airstrikes hit south of Beirut with no prior warning.
