FM Rajji holds series of calls with regional and international counterparts to stop Israeli escalation

Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji held a series of phone calls with several regional and international counterparts, including the foreign ministers of Oman, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Canada, as well as the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Al-Budaiwi.

The discussions focused on political and military developments in Lebanon.

Rajji briefed his counterparts on the emergency cabinet session’s decision, which included banning Hezbollah’s military and security activities, requiring the group to surrender its weapons, and assigning the Lebanese Armed Forces to implement the second phase of the disarmament plan.

The talks also addressed the need to halt Israeli escalation and explored measures to protect Lebanese civilians and public infrastructure under the current circumstances.
