Lebanon says international guarantee may halt Israeli strike on Masnaa crossing

Lebanese General Security chief Major General Hassan Choucair told LBCI that a potential international guarantee to halt an Israeli strike on the Masnaa border crossing could be secured in the coming hours as a result of ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Choucair said Egypt is leading the diplomatic push through contacts with the United States, Israel, and Syria.

He added that efforts are underway to neutralize the crossing and facilitate its reopening.
