Netanyahu: Israel dealt Hezbollah major blow, operations in Lebanon ongoing

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Iran entered negotiations only after coming under sustained military strikes, describing Tehran as being at one of its weakest points.

Netanyahu stated that Israel had achieved “tremendous accomplishments,” adding that Iran has been significantly weakened while Israel has grown stronger.

He also dismissed concerns over his relationship with Donald Trump, saying their ties remain strong and that they speak daily, stressing that the strength of the alliance should not be underestimated.

According to Netanyahu, Israel’s military campaign prevented Iran from reaching its objective of developing nuclear weapons.

He said Israeli forces had disrupted Iran’s missile production, destroyed key manufacturing facilities, and targeted elements of its nuclear program, while noting that the threat still persists.

Netanyahu emphasized that any ceasefire with Iran would not include Hezbollah, affirming that Israeli operations against the group will continue.

He added that Israel had dealt Hezbollah one of its heaviest blows in recent years.

He further said Israel targeted Iran’s financial networks, as well as steel and weapons manufacturing sites, and destroyed significant portions of its naval and air infrastructure.
