Ghalibaf tells Berri: Ceasefire in Lebanon as important as truce in Iran

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that a ceasefire in Lebanon is as important as a ceasefire in the Islamic Republic in the war involving the United States and Israel.

In a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri, Ghalibaf said that “a ceasefire in Lebanon is of equal importance to a ceasefire in Iran.”

In a statement posted on Telegram, he added that Tehran had sought during talks with Washington in Islamabad and afterward to “force our opponents to establish a permanent ceasefire in all conflict areas,” in line with the agreement reached on April 8, which established a two-week truce.
