Lebanese Army chief visits frontline unit, praises troops after ceasefire takes effect

The Lebanese Army Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, inspected the Fifth Intervention Regiment in Kfar Dounine, where he reviewed the operational situation following the implementation of the ceasefire.

During the visit, Haykal met with officers and soldiers, commending their sacrifices, courage, and strong commitment to their mission and to the country despite ongoing challenges and limited resources.

“The country is counting on the army today, and the Lebanese people are looking to it in this difficult phase of our history,” he said, stressing that the institution remains strong and cohesive.

“The leadership is proud of you and your professional performance. Rise to the challenges ahead,” he added, addressing the troops stationed in South Lebanon.
