Berri, Saudi FM discuss Lebanon developments amid ongoing Israeli strikes

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri held talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the latest developments in Lebanon and the broader region, in light of continued Israeli attacks.

During the conversation, both sides reviewed the situation on the ground, particularly Israel's ongoing strikes and what Berri described as the systematic destruction of border villages.

Berri expressed appreciation for the efforts of Saudi Arabia in supporting Lebanon across multiple fronts, especially initiatives aimed at halting Israeli military actions that he said threaten Lebanon's security, sovereignty, and stability.

LBCI sources confirmed that during the call, both sides reaffirmed support to achieve a permanent ceasefire with Lebanon's commitment to the Taif agreement.
