Israeli army issues evacuation warning for south Lebanon towns amid escalation

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning Saturday to residents in several towns in southern Lebanon, calling on them to evacuate immediately amid escalating tensions.

In a statement, Adraee addressed residents in the towns of Qaaqaaiyet el-Jisr, Aadchit el-Chqif, Jibchit, Ebba, Kfarjoz, Harouf, Doueir, Deir el-Zahrani, and Habbouch.

He claimed that “in light of Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army is compelled to act forcefully against it,” adding that the army “does not intend to harm civilians.”

The statement urged residents to leave their homes immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away toward open areas, stressing that “anyone located near Hezbollah members, facilities or military assets is putting their life at risk.”
