Ceasefire monitoring mechanism authorizes rescue in Maifadoun area

Sources told LBCI that the ceasefire monitoring mechanism has granted authorization for the Lebanese Red Cross and the Lebanese army to enter an area between Maifadoun and Zawtar el-Charqiyeh to search for individuals trapped for several days and to carry out rescue operations.

According to the sources, the Lebanese Red Cross and the army successfully evacuated four civilians and recovered the body of one person killed in the village of Maifadoun.
