General amnesty law discussed at Baabda as President Aoun meets MPs and defense minister

President Joseph Aoun held a meeting on Sunday morning at Baabda Palace attended by Defense Minister Major General Michel Menassa and MPs Ashraf Rifi, Salim Sayegh, Michel Moawad, Ahmad al-Kheir, Bilal Abdallah, Waddah Sadek, Firas Hamdan, and Ghada Ayoub.

Discussions focused on deliberations surrounding the proposed law aimed at granting a general amnesty and exceptionally reducing the duration of certain sentences.
