Aoun heads to Rome for meetings with Pope Leo XIV, Italian PM Meloni

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun left Beirut on Wednesday afternoon, heading to Rome for an official visit, according to the Presidency.

Aoun is scheduled to meet with Pope Leo XIV on Thursday and hold talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday.
