Israeli army claims it destroyed over 600 infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon operation

Israeli army spokesperson Ella Waweya claimed in a post on X that troops from the 55th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division, had completed an operation near the village of Mansouri in southern Lebanon.

According to Waweya, the forces operated in what Israel describes as ''its security zone to eliminate threats to Israel'', destroying more than 600 sites it identified as ''militant infrastructure'' and, in cooperation with the Yahalom unit, eight underground routes.

The troops also discovered dozens of launchers that Waweya said had been left in the area before the ceasefire agreement took effect.

She said the brigade-level operation near Mansouri was aimed at ''preventing Hezbollah from reestablishing its presence in the area. During the operation, Israeli troops discovered and destroyed what the military described as a Hezbollah underground passage inside a civilian home in the village.''

Waweya said the Israeli army ''would continue operating to eliminate threats to Israeli civilians and troops while maintaining its commitment to the ceasefire agreement.''
