Beijing rejects Trump claim that intercepted Iranian ship was a “gift from China”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday rejected an accusation by U.S. President Donald Trump that a cargo ship flying the Iranian flag, which was intercepted by U.S. forces, had been a “gift from China.”

According to Reuters, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun told reporters that, referring to the Iranian vessel, normal trade between countries should not be disrupted.
