Sirens sound in northern Israel after shelling from Lebanon: Military

Air raid sirens sounded in several cities in northern Israel on Friday after shelling from Lebanon, the Israeli military said.

After the sirens were activated, "a number of launches were detected toward Israeli territory," an Israeli military statement said.

"The air force intercepted one launch, and the additional launches fell in open areas. No injuries were reported," the statement added, without providing further details.
