Jordan church attack carried out by 'group of extremists:' Interior minister

A shooting at a church in southern Jordan that killed at least seven people and wounded 34 was carried out by a "group of extremists," the kingdom's interior minister said Friday.

"Jordan has been targeted by a terrorist attack carried out by a group of extremists, and has emphasised that this act is to be condemned in every respect," Mazen Al-Faraya said at a press conference.
