Erdogan tells Trump that Israel ending attacks 'crucial' for peace

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump on Friday that the success of any peace initiative in the Middle East hinged on Israel ceasing its attacks, his office said.
During their phone call, Erdogan said Turkey had accelerated diplomatic efforts for peace but that "Israel ceasing its attacks is crucial for the success of initiatives aimed at establishing peace in the region,” the presidency said.
