Polish-Belarus journalist Andrzej Poczobut freed from Belarus: Polish PM
A Polish-Belarusian journalist, Andrzej Poczobut, arrested in Belarus in 2021 was freed on Tuesday and returned home, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced.
"Andrzej Poczobut is free!! Welcome home to Poland, my friend," Tusk wrote on X alongside a photo of him gripping Poczobut's hand.
Poczobut last year was awarded the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
