Axios: Trump meets oil industry executives as Iran war crisis continues

U.S. President Donald Trump and senior administration officials met at the White House on Wednesday with executives from oil and gas companies to discuss the impact of the war with Iran on the energy sector and other related issues, according to Axios.

The report said attendees included Mike Wirth, CEO of Chevron, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

According to Axios, discussions covered domestic production, developments in Venezuela, oil and natural gas futures, and shipping.

Reuters noted that it was unable to independently verify the report.
