China exports to US rose 11.3% year-on-year in April: Official data

China's exports to the United States rose 11.3 percent year-on-year in April, official data showed Saturday, as the world's second-largest economy adjusts to tariffs launched by Donald Trump last year.

Exports to the United States in April totalled $36.8 billion, according to China's General Administration of Customs, up from $33 billion during the same month last year at the start of Trump's blistering trade war.

The U.S. leader is set to visit China next week for talks with his counterpart, Xi Jinping.
