Russia summons Czech envoy over arrest of Orthodox cleric

Russia on Tuesday said it summoned the Czech Republic's charge d'affaires, a day after the central European country detained an influential Orthodox cleric for allegedly possessing suspicious substances.

Moscow's foreign ministry said it expressed a "strong protest" against the detention of Bishop Hilarion, calling the charges "absurd" and demanding his "unconditional and immediate release."
