US dropping sanctions 'rewards' and 'encourages' Putin: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday U.S. counterpart Donald Trump's decision to waive new sanctions on Moscow would only encourage Russia's Vladimir Putin.

"A U.S. sanctions blackout, easing pressure on the aggressor, financial rewards for Putin -- all of this only encourages him to keep attacking," Zelensky said on social media, calling on allies to keep pressuring Russia.
