Cabinet meets to discuss sovereignty measures and November ceasefire arrangements

The Cabinet convened for its regular session at the Presidential Palace at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, chaired by President Joseph Aoun and attended by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the ministers.

The Cabinet is continuing discussions on implementing the ministerial statement, particularly the section related to extending the state’s sovereignty over all its territory exclusively through its own forces. It is also addressing the arrangements for halting hostilities in November 2024.

The session was preceded by a meeting between the President and the Prime Minister to discuss recent developments.
