Samy Gemayel to UN Envoy: Implementing agreement is key to restoring the state

Kataeb Party leader MP Samy Gemayel discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region with U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis Plasschaert.

Gemayel stressed that the recent government step is a clear indication that the decision to restore the state is on the right track, but emphasized that the real test lies in implementing the agreement—stating that Lebanon must either become a state or cease to be one.

He also highlighted the importance of keeping pace with the positive changes taking place in the region, so that Lebanon can be part of them and move toward recovery and stability.
