Paraglider dies in fall off Jounieh coast, Civil Defense says

Lebanese Civil Defense teams recovered the body of a man who died after falling from a paraglider off the coast of Jounieh on Wednesday afternoon.

In a statement, the Civil Defense said its central operations room received a report at around 4:35 p.m. that a paraglider had fallen while performing aerial stunts above the shoreline.

Specialized maritime rescue units conducted a detailed sea search and found the victim about 15 meters from the shore. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

The body was brought to shore in preparation for transfer to a hospital, following the arrival of security forces who completed the required legal procedures.
