Israeli military claims it struck Hezbollah site in South Lebanon

The Israeli army said Friday it carried out airstrikes on a Hezbollah position in Qal'at al-Shaqif, South Lebanon, that it claimed was being used to manage the group’s fire array and defensive operations.

Avichay Adraee, the army’s spokesperson, posted on X that the site contained weapons, military buildings, and underground infrastructure.

He described the activities inside as “terrorist operations,” adding that their presence in the area violated past understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

Adraee said the army would “continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
