Israeli army says it targeted Hezbollah facilities, including Radwan Unit sites in Beirut

The Israeli army said it carried out overnight airstrikes targeting infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Beirut and other regions in the country.

In a statement on X, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the strikes in Beirut hit several Hezbollah sites, including a facility used by the Radwan Force, which he said was involved in planning and directing attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

The statement added that a Hezbollah intelligence headquarters was also targeted.

In a separate strike in the town of Al Tiri, the Israeli army said it hit a Hezbollah position located inside a broadcasting station affiliated with Al-Nour Radio, adding that the site was targeted while Hezbollah members were operating from within it.

The Israeli army accused Hezbollah of systematically operating from within civilian infrastructure in Lebanon, saying such activities endanger Lebanese civilians.

It added that it will continue operations against Hezbollah, which it said has joined the conflict under the backing of Iran, and vowed to act forcefully to protect Israeli citizens.
