Tense calm in Ain al-Hilweh after overnight clashes leave one dead

A cautious calm has settled over Ain al-Hilweh on Monday following a night of limited clashes that continued into the early hours of dawn.

The violence involved exchanges of gunfire and the use of hand grenades, resulting in one fatality.

As political factions and security forces move to contain the fallout from the incident, the victim’s family has called for the perpetrator to be handed over, urging the step as a means to prevent further bloodshed.
