Lebanese army urges caution on return to south amid ceasefire reports

The Lebanese army on Wednesday called on citizens to delay returning to southern villages and towns, despite circulating reports of a regional ceasefire, warning of ongoing risks on the ground.

In a statement, the army urged residents not to approach areas where Israeli forces have advanced, citing continued threats from Israeli attacks that could endanger lives.

The military also called on residents to strictly follow instructions issued by deployed army units and to exercise extreme caution regarding unexploded ordnance and suspicious objects left behind from recent hostilities.

Residents were urged to report any such items to the nearest army post or security authority.
