Lebanon's ambassador to Washington: Further details on the next Lebanese-Israeli meeting will be disclosed

Lebanon's ambassador to the United States, Nada Hamadeh Moawad, said a preliminary meeting held in Washington was "constructive," adding that details regarding the date and location of the next round of talks will be announced at a later stage.

Moawad thanked the United States for hosting and facilitating the discussions, which she described as an initial step in ongoing diplomatic efforts related to the situation in Lebanon.

She stressed the urgent need to implement the November 2024 ceasefire agreement fully, emphasizing Lebanon's territorial integrity and the state's full sovereignty over all its lands.

The ambassador also called for an immediate ceasefire and the return of displaced civilians to their homes, urging concrete steps to ease the severe humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing conflict.

Moawad reiterated that further details on the next meeting will be disclosed in due course.
