Israeli military claims it destroyed Hezbollah underground tunnel in southern Lebanon

The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, said Israeli forces destroyed an underground tunnel belonging to Hezbollah in the Ras al-Bayyada area of southern Lebanon.

In a post on X, Adraee said the operation was carried out this morning by the 146th Division, using more than 24 tons of explosives to demolish a tunnel exceeding 140 meters in length.

He said the tunnel contained living quarters, operational shafts, large quantities of weapons, and what he described as militant infrastructure, adding that it had recently been used by Hezbollah members to advance what he called “terror plots.”

Adraee also said Israeli air force strikes, directed by the division, targeted several Hezbollah operatives and additional infrastructure over the past 24 hours.
