Lebanese judge issues warrants in case involving insults against Patriarch al-Rahi: LBCI sources

Lebanon’s Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, Judge Ahmad Rami el-Hajj, has issued search and investigation warrants against individuals allegedly linked to insults directed at Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, sources told LBCI.

According to the sources, the measures came after the individuals were summoned, requested delays, and later failed to appear for questioning.

Judge el-Hajj also opened a separate investigation to verify the identities behind four fake accounts allegedly connected to the same case.
