IRGC: Approaching any warships near the strait will be considered a violation of the ceasefire

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Sunday that any attempt by warships to approach the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of the two-week ceasefire agreed with the United States and would be met with a “firm and decisive response.”

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the IRGC added that the strait is under the control and “smart management” of Iran’s navy, while stressing that it remains open to the safe passage of civilian vessels under specific regulations.
