Iran says it downed Israeli surveillance drone
Iran’s Mehr news agency reported on Sunday that the Iranian army had shot down an Israeli surveillance and reconnaissance drone in Hormozgan province, amid growing expectations of a possible memorandum of understanding on a peace deal between Iran and the United States.
The agency said the wreckage of the Israeli-made “Orbiter” drone was discovered in coordination with Iranian naval forces.
